WE MANUFACTURE FUN!
THE MILL is the most unique and entertaining indoor fun center you’ve ever experienced, because we’ve combined FIVE popular attractions inside one giant, climate-controlled, spotlessly-clean, lovingly preserved old factory. Laser Tag. Miniature Golf. Aeroball. Arcade Games. And we’re also home to The MILL GRILL, the first-in-the-USA indoor food truck serving your favorite snacks, fast food and beverages.
And since FUN is our one and only product, we’ve made sure THE MILL is fun for ALL ages and ALL abilities. Our attractions are user-friendly in every way–whether you’ve never played laser tag or are a phaser ace…whether you’re the Rory McElroy of Mini-Golf or a casual player looking for some relaxing fun…from 5 year-olds to grandparents, male or female, THE MILL is for EVERYone who’s looking for some laugh-inducing, memorable, affordable FUN with friends and family.
THE MILL is an awesome destination for birthday parties, where our trained Mill Foremen will oversee and assist during your entire celebration. And group events, sports team celebrations, field trips, team builders and more are a natural for THE MILL, too, because we offer something for everyone–and serve great, fresh food prepared without frying and using the best ingredients at the MILL GRILL
Take A Look!
HERE’S WHAT’S WAITING FOR YOU AT THE MILL.
Play in our you’ve-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it, ultra-immersive laser tag arena. Tee off on our kitschy-cool, retro-industrial-themed miniature golf course. Enjoy some great grub from our unique INDOOR food truck. Blow a few quarters in brand-new arcade games. And meet our “foremen” and “production managers”–the dedicated team trained to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your time at THE MILL.
“PLAY” LASER TAG?
OR IMMERSE YOURSELF IN IT?
We call the new laser tag attraction at THE MILL “ultra-immersive” because it’s just that: You won’t just be playing a game. You’ll be IN the game.
Think TRON meets post-apocalyptic steel mill meets the coolest light, fog and special effects show ever. Imagine two levels for endless creative game strategies and tactics, a cutting-edge and user-friendly HELIOS phaser/vest system, and one of the largest and most unique arenas you’ve ever seen. Back it up with pulse-pounding music mixing with the soundtrack of players laughing, shouting and sometimes both while enjoying a huge variety of game formats suitable for the newest, youngest rookie to the most grizzled laser tag veteran. And our MILL “foremen” will be there with you as game masters to show you how to use it all and keep the fun safe.
There’s laser tag. And then there’s ULTRA-IMMERSIVE laser tag—MILL style!
Our ultra-immersive arena has been designed with fun and safety in mind and is suitable for players as young as 5 years old. But please note that the darkness, special effects lighting, fog and music may be frightening to very young children, and we therefore suggest that they be accompanied by an adult while playing.
IT’S TOUGH TO TAKE A GAME WHOSE NAME STARTS WITH “MINIATURE” TOO SERIOUSLY.
SO WE DIDN’T.
America’s leading builder of indoor miniature golf courses was a little skeptical when we described our unusual requirements for our new 18-hole, retro-industrial-themed course.
“No windmills. No artificial flowers. No stop lights. No lighthouses. And absolutely, positively NO clown faces. They frighten us,” we said.
“So…what DO you guys want?” he asked pointedly.
“Smokestacks. Blast furnaces. Molten steel. An aircraft carrier. An itty-bitty Martin Tower. Iconic stuff representing our region’s industrial history…but…make it kitschy-cool,” we offered.
“Yeah. You know…campy, fun, quirky, maybe a little goofy. THE MILL’s laser tag experience is gonna be high-tech, state-of-the-art-exciting. Our mini-golf course has to be kinda the old-school opposite of that, with a mix of kitschy and challenging holes that any guest will enjoy,” we explained.
“There’s that word again. Okay, game on.”
The rest is history–literally industrial history, expressed in 18 challenging and fun holes featuring instantly-recognizable, lighthearted (okay, kitschy) obstacles and traditional mini-golf holes, all under very cool special-effects lighting. We call it “Galactic Golf” and think our designer crushed it by building us a one-of-a-kind course that’ll put smiles on the faces of everyone from toddlers to great-grandparents.
And isn’t that the whole purpose of “miniature” golf, anyway?
ARE YOU READY FOR HIGH-FLYING, HIGH-INTENSITY FUN? THEN TRY AEROBALL, NOW AT THE MILL!
Almost like volleyball, not quite like basketball, and not a mere trampoline, Aeroball merges all these into the Ultimate Sports Experience! The game is very simple. Players score points by throwing the ball in the top hole of the opponents net. Meanwhile the opponent has to time the jump to block the shot. Unlike basketball the Aeroball nets are vertically mounted to allow for hard, direct shots rather than looping shots. The ball is made of soft vinyl with soft fabric stuffing.
Best of all, THE MILL has TWO Aeroball units—one for kids and smaller adults, and one for adults.
Add Aeroball to any laser tag or miniature golf party! Click here for party packages.
Or, enjoy Aeroball on your next visit to THE MILL for just $3 per player per 10-minute game in the small Aeroball court, or $5 per player per 10-minute game. Please review the safety rules for Aeroball to make the most of your visit.
What’s a factory without a food truck?
The answer is a factory full of hungry and cranky people. We can’t have that at THE MILL, can we? Which is why THE MILL GRILL is a custom-built INDOOR food truck, and the first in the country to boot. Visit our Food & Beverage page to learn more. And come hungry.
OUR BUILDING HAS MADE HISTORY. LET’S MAKE SOME MORE.
According to local historians, the building that houses THE MILL was constructed about ten years before World War II and originally housed a bustling textile mill. And not to get all school-marmish on you, but textiles–along with steel, trucks and other essentials to the standard of living that made America the envy of the world–are a HUGE part of the Lehigh Valley’s industrial history. In fact, in the early 1930s there were over 140 textile mills in the Valley, dyeing, cutting, spinning, sewing and selling everything from your dad’s starched button-down shirts to the yarn your grandma used to crochet your prized (if now somewhat worn and funky) afghan.
We’ve tried our best to preserve the coolest architectural features of the original building. When you visit, you’ll see the original arched trusses supporting the roof and deck, the base of a smokestack now supporting–what else?–a cell tower, red brick exterior factory walls and more, all dating back to a time in our history that introduced fedoras, the merciful end of Prohibition and, thanks to a hit movie called The Wizard of Oz, terrifying flying monkeys.
But, as usual, we digress.
The way we figure it, nobody’s ever looked at one of the Valley’s soulless, megamonolithic widget warehouses and thought, “Now THERE’s something you don’t see every day.” Mainly because, lately, we DO see them every day.
If we’re going to manufacture FUN, we should do our best to honor the legacy of our amazing building’s industrial history, and do right by the neighborhood surrounding us. So yeah, THE MILL is loaded with the latest technology, from a cutting-edge laser tag experience to a food truck with zero-emissions ovens so sophisticated that it practically bakes a perfect pizza by itself. But throughout all 12,000 square feet of climate-controlled, year-around fun beats the heart of a sturdy building almost a century old that’s made American history. And will again.
Oh, and one more thing…
We hope (okay, we’re shamelessly asking) that during your visit you’ll snap lots of photos and share them on Facebook and Twitter, accompanied by glowing reviews of your experience. In fact, we’re hoping you have SO much fun that you won’t be able to stop raving about THE MILL anytime soon. And that if anything during your visit doesn’t please you, to let us know so we can do something about it.
